Shared Parental Leave Template Letters & Forms

Shared Parental Leave (SPL) is a statutory right available to parents who are due a new baby or a newly adopted child on or after 5th April 2015. SPL gives parents the option of sharing up to 50 weeks of leave and 39 weeks of pay if they meet the necessary eligibility criteria.
The statutory notification process is quite specific, requiring the parents to provide specific information to their employer within specific time periods.


The following template letters and forms have been designed to assist employers guide their employees through the Shared Parental Leave process.
